Description
English: The "Porta della Carta" is the entrance of the Palazzo Ducale in Venice. It was built in the flamboyant Gothic style designed by Giovanni and Bartolomeo Bon in 1438-1442. Above the door, shows the Doge Francesco Foscari; sculpture that you see now, however, is a nineteenth century copy, sculpted by Luigi Ferrari after the original was destroyed in 1797, the fall of the Venetian Republic.
Français : La "Porta della Carta" est l'entrée du Palazzo Ducale à Venise. Elle a été construit dans le style gothique flamboyant conçu par Giovanni et Bartolomeo Bon en 1438-1442. Au-dessus de la porte, le doge Francesco Foscari; la sculpture actuelle, est une copie du XIXe siècle, sculpté par Luigi Ferrari après l'original qui a été détruit en 1797, à la chute de la République de Venise.
Italiano: La "Porta della Carta" è l'ingresso di Palazzo Ducale a Venezia. Fu costruita in stile gotico fiammeggiante su progetto di Giovanni Bon e Bartolomeo Bon nel 1438-1442. Sopra la porta, fra altre sculture, è rappresentato il doge Francesco Foscari; la scultura che si vede attualmente è però una copia ottocentesca, scolpita da Luigi Ferrari dopo che l'originale era stato distrutto nel 1797, alla caduta della Repubblica di Venezia.
