Description	Nederlands: Collectie / Archief : Fotocollectie Van de Poll Reportage / Serie : Israël 1964-1965: Haifa, aankomst van passagiersschepen Beschrijving : Passagiers met bagage lopen over een mobiele trap van het schip "SS Zion" naar de kade Annotatie : Haifa is een havenstad en badplaats in Noord-Israël, op het noordelijkste gedeelte van het Karmelgebergte en aan de Middellandse Zee. "SS Zion" (het afgebeelde schip) werd gebouwd in 1956 in de "Deutsche Werft" in Hamburg onder de herstelbetalingenregeling (overeenkomst betreffende van Duitsland te ontvangen betalingen) en fungeerde eerst in de Trans-Atlantische dienst tussen New York en Haifa, het primaire doel was destijds om Joden terug te brengen naar hun thuisland.
