Description
Deutsch: Eine schematische Darstellung des Photoeffektes. Im Fall (a) besitzt das einfallende Photon nicht genügend Energie um ein Elektron aus dem Metall herauszuschlagen. Im Fall (b) ist die Energie des Photons größer als die Austrittsarbeit, es löst sich daher ein Elektron aus dem Metall. Die überschüssige Energie des Photons wird dabei in kinetische Energie des Elektrons umgewandelt.
