Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_68778_גלאון 4.jpeg Notes: גלְאוֹן הוא קיבוץ מתנועת הקיבוץ הארצי השומר הצעיר. ממוקם כ-7 קילומטר צפונית מזרחית לקריית גת. גרעיני המייסדים עלו מפולין בראשית 1939 וישבו באופן זמני בגבעת מיכאל ליד נס ציונה. במוצאי יום הכיפורים 1946 עלה הגרעין על הקרקע במסגרת 11 הנקודות שעלו בנגב באותו יום. במלחמת העצמאות ב-14 ביולי 1948הדפו מגיני הקיבוץ התקפה גדולה של הצבא המצרי. ב 1948 במבצע יואב שימש הקיבוץ בסיס יציאה לכוחות צהquotל שכבשו את בית ג39יברין. לאחר קום המדינה קלט הקיבוץ גרעינים מארצות הברית ישראל ואורוגוואי. מהמכלול
