Description
Español: Por primera vez, los ciudadanos chilenos tienen la opción de escoger si desean o no una nueva Constitución, que reemplace a la realizada por el dictador Augusto Pinochet en 1980. Si gana la opción "Apruebo" se iniciará proceso de redacción de nueva Carta Magna; si gana "Rechazo", todo queda igual. Este proceso histórico es una de las consecuencias del estallido social de octubre de 2019, donde la población se protestó y se rebeló por los abusos y falta de garantías en derechos fundamentales: salud, educación, Derechos Humanos. Las protestas sociales fueron reprimidas por las fuerzas de orden (Carabineros) y Armadas, con violencia y violaciones a los derechos humanos (informes de la ONU), entre las que se cuentan muertes por golpes, disparos intencionales a los ojos de manifestantes, violaciones a mujeres y hombres en cuarteles policiales (comisarías), sin reacción del Gobierno, encabezado por el empresario Sebastián Piñera.
