The principal en-trance is through an archway (for-nix) (a), on the left-hand corner ofthe plan, and by the side of a templeof the Corinthian order (b), supposedto have been dedicated to Jupiter.On the opposite flank of this templeis another entrance into the Forum,and by its side the public prison (car-eer) (c), in which the bones of twomen with fetters on their legs werefound. Adjacent to this is a long shallow building (d), with severalentrances from the colonnade, sur-mised by the Neapolitan antiquariesto have been a public granary (hor-reurn).
