English: Pony grazing alongside Cripple Gate Lane, Beaulieu Estate The Cripple Gate was a gate to the Beaulieu Manor, just east of the present East Boldre Church. This lane runs from the Cripple Gate to the junction with Lodge Lane. The public lanes in the Beaulieu Estate are not gridded and commoners stock can wander along the lanes and graze on the verges. |
