Description
Español: Inscripción fundacional de la Puerta del Fonsario o de Gibraltar de la ciudad de Al Yazirat al Jadrá. Esta inscripción fue localizada entre los escombros del foso que rodea el acceso acodado de la Puerta del Fonsario durante su puesta en valor en 1997. La inscripción en letras góticas reza:

:PETRIL:E CO

Hace referencia a las caracacterísticas de la construcción con una cava o foso, puente y muralla con pretil. Esta inscripción debió situarse en los muros de la Puerta del Fonsario tras la remodelación llevada a cabo por los castellanos entre 1344 y 1350 y serviría como elemento propagandístico. En el momento de su descubrimiento las letras se hallaban rellenas de argamasa que impedían su lectura. Se especula que este relleno debió realizarse tras la reconquista nazarí de la ciudad en 1369 y antes de su destrucción en 1379.
