English: The roots of a Western Redcedar Thuja plicata (left) grow around a Douglas-fir Pseudotsuga menziesii (center). The roots grow upwards to form a palm-like shape. Taken at Grove of the Patriachs, Mount Rainier National Park, Washington, USA.
