English: You can see the "Radial Railway Station" on the left and "The Scout Hut" on the right.
At one time tracks of the "Hamilton Radial Railway" ran along "Randall Street" and "Rebecca Street" "The Scout Hut" 165 Randall Street was erected in 1926 on Town Property. It actualy sits on part of the Thomas Street road allowance.
If you ever wondered why the intersection of Dunn Street and Randall Street has such an unusual configeratiuon it is because that is where the trains turned around to return to Hamilton. More information can be found here. www.oakvillehistory.org/html/TrafWalk/trafWalk7-a.htm |
