Description
English: Detail of an ancient Roman silver tripod leg, discovered during dredging works in the river Meuse near Stevensweert, Limburg, the Netherlands. The object from the 2nd or 3rd century AD is now in the collection of the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden. This photo was taken during the temporary exhibition Topstukken van het Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in the Limburgs Museum in Venlo, while the museum in Leiden was closed for renovations.
