Summary[edit]
DescriptionRiver Spey with Uprooted Tree - geograph.org.uk - 670544.jpg |
English: River Spey with Uprooted Tree On the island is a whole tree, presumably uprooted and washed down the river. This is an echo of the time, 200 years ago, when timber from the forests of Strathspey was floated down the river to supply the shipbuilding industry at Kingston-on-Spey, where the river enters the Moray Firth. The house perilously close to the river is on the outskirts of Fochabers. |
