Summary[edit]

Description Robert C. Springer flew 550 combat missions as a U.S. Marine aviator during the Vietnam War. He went on to join NASA in 1981 and flew two missions (STS-29 & STS-38) with the Space Shuttle program. Springer is seen here delivering the commencement address at a Space Camp graduation in the main hall of the Davidson Center for Space Exploration at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
