English: Today, Hivus-48 is the largest passenger hovercraft in Russia is one of the biggest hovercraft in the world. Aerokhod Company from Nizhniy Novgorod built only three boats of this type. Two of them are operated in Nizhniy Novgorod and the third one was sent to Yakutia. The hovercraft is driven by two Mercedes automobile diesel engines of 420 hp; its passenger capacity is 48 pax. It can move as fast as 70 km/h, and on the flat ice – even 90 km/h. On the water surface Hivus outruns Raketa and Meteor fast speed hydrofoils.
The hovercraft operated in Nizhniy Novgorod belong to Logoprom Company. They are used for fast passenger transportation across the river as well as for tourist excursions along the river to attractions of Nizhniy Novgorod Region. Русский: «Хивус-48» на сегодняшний день – крупнейшее в России пассажирское судно на воздушной подушке и одно из самых больших в мире. Нижегородское предприятие «Аэроход» построило всего три такие машины. Две из них остались в Нижнем Новгороде, а третья отправилась в Якутию. Судно приводится в действие двумя 420-сильными автомобильными дизелями Mercedes, вмещает 48 пассажиров и может развивать скорость 70 км/ч, а на ровном льду – все 90. На воде «Хивус» обгоняет скоростные теплоходы на подводных крыльях – «Ракету» и «Метеор».
Нижегородские суда принадлежат компании Логопром и используются на скоростных речных пассажирских переправах с применением СВП, а также в экскурсионных туристических поездках по воде к достопримечательностям Нижегородской области.
