Description
Français : Oushebti ou shaouabti égyptiens antiques provenant des fouilles d'Antinoé.

Matériau : terre cuite. Exposés au Musée Bertrand, à Châteauroux, dans l'Indre, en France. Numéros d'inventaire : inv. 2398 à 2406 ; 2549. Dépôt de l'Etat. "Les mots oushebti ou shaouabti désignent une statuette. Oushebti signifie "celui qui répond". Ces statuettes apparaissent à partir du Moyen Empire. Elles se substituent au défunt pour exécuter des travaux des champs dans l'au-delà.

Les personnages, coiffés d'une perruque tripartite, sont représentés dans une attitude momiforme et portent des outils agraires."
