Description
English: S72-49971 (29 Sept. 1972) --- Astronaut Ronald E. Evans, command module pilot of the Apollo 17 lunar landing mission, participates in extravehicular activity training in a water tank in Building 5 at the Manned Spacecraft Center. Evans is scheduled to perform trans-Earth extravehicular activity after the Apollo 17 spacecraft leaves lunar orbit on its way back home. The structure in the picture simulates the Scientific Instrument Module (SIM) bay of the Apollo 17 Service Module.
