English: SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, SC -- Airmen from Shaw Air Force Base, SC, low crawl under a barrier on the "Trail of Doom," a Shaw obstacle course that ends with a visit to the Mask Confidence Chamber. About 20 Airmen from Shaw spent the day, September 3, participating in Initial Chemical Warfare Training. The training involves detailed briefings on nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare and the environment the Airmen may be required to operate in. Additionally, there are hands-on activities involving chemical warfare detection tools, chemical warfare defense, and the protective gear one would be required to don in a contaminated environment.
