Launch- Nov. 12, 1981 Landing- Nov. 14, 1981 Edwards Air Force Base, Cal. Astronauts: Joe H. Engle, Richard H. Truly Space Shuttle: Columbia STS-2 preformed several experiments and completed nearly 90% of mission objectives even though the flight was cut two days short due to the failure of one of the three fuel cells. The water sound suppression modifications worked great, no tiles were lost and only 12 were damaged.
