Summary[edit]

Description
English: Sailors from commands in San Antonio including Navy Recruiting District, Navy Operational Support Center, USS San Antonio, Navy Information Operations Command, and the U.S. Naval Academy Band Electric Brigade from Annapolis, Md., accompany the Merrimack, a battleship replica float complete with a steam engine and ultraviolet light sources, in the Fiesta Flambeau Parade as part of Navy Week. Sailors rode the float, tossed souvenirs, shook hands and high-fived the receptive crowd at the parade. The San Antonio Navy Week includes performances by the U.S. Naval Academy band Electric Brigade, appearances by Sailors from USS San Antonio (LPD 17) and speaking engagements by flag officers. The San Antonio Navy Week began April 14 and runs through April 25. (U.S. Navy photo by Chief Mass Communication Specialist L.A. Shively/Released)
