Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Sand Dunes, Rye Golf Links Viewed from Camber Road these are the oldest range of dunes having begun forming in the late 18th century (They are not marked on Yeakell & Gardner's 1783 map of the Sussex Coast but were marked as sand hills on the 1813 OS map). Rye Golf Links was first laid out in the 1890s whilst the pill box to the right was erected during World War Two. However, its view of the sea is now obstructed by a another range of dunes. |
