Summary
[edit]DescriptionSaturn and Atlas (30873594251).png |
Cassini RGB image of Atlas taken on June 7, 2005. This image captures the small (~15km diameter) shepherd moon and Saturn's ring system. Saturn's horizon appears blue rather than yellow because of preferential scattering of blue light by atmospheric haze particles. The Encke Gap appears to bend as it vanishes behind Saturn is due to refraction of light as it passes through the atmosphere. |
