Summary[edit]

חוות סקאלי הוקמה באוקטובר 1988 על ידי יצחק סקלי כ-4 ק"מ מזרחית לאלון מורה על רכס הר כביר, בגובה 792 מטר מעל פני הים. במאחז גרות מספר משפחות בבתי עץ, אבן ומבנים ניידים. במקום בית כנסת קטן. ביישוב הוקם מקוה נייד לגברים.

תושבי המאחז מתפרנסים גם ממטעי הזיתים ומעדר הכבשים לבשר שברשותם. ביישוב קיים מפעל לייצור מוצרים לבנייה.

בשנת 2003 הותקף המאחז על ידי מחבלים אשר נהדפו ונהרגו באש תושביו.

החווה של סקלי הוקמה על הקצה המזרחי של הרכס, שעליו יושבת אלון מורה, כחלק מניסיון ליצור רצף שליטה על הרכס כולו, כך שיתאפשר חיבור של אלון מורה אל בקעת הירדן, ולכלול את היישוב במפת הקבע[1]. מאחז דומה הוקם במהלך שנת 2002, כחלק מאותה תפיסה, ליד הכביש העוקף המחבר את אלון מורה עם היישוב איתמר, אך הוא פורק עוד בטרם אוכלס.
