Summary[edit]

Description
English: The village owes its fame to its wine, flowers and fountains. The skyline is dominated by the mighty outline of a 12C castle, demolished in 1678 and rebuilt in 1838 by Friedrich Eisenlohr, who created a Troubadour Gothic edifice in a style which was very fashionable at the time. The castle is home to one of the best youth hostels in Germany. The Mariä Ruh Chapel dates from 1497 and contains some splendid Gothic frescoes.
