This is an image of a building or other location within the Pioneer Square-Skid Road Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The district has been successively enlarged, and hence has multiple NRHP IDs: 70000086, 78000341, and 88000739

Description
English: Collins Block / Collins Building, 520 Second Avenue (corner of James), Pioneer Square neighborhood, Seattle, Washington, USA. Seattle, Washington, in 1905.

Built 1894; among its initial tenants was the Seattle Public Library: see Paul Dorpat, Frame 8, Seattle Public Library -- A Pictorial History of Times and Tomes Past -- Slide Show, HistoryLink.

The white-on-black lettering is not part of the actual building, it was added by Polk's.
