Summary[edit]

Description

Secretary of Interior Ryan Zinke visited the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument and hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, July 15, 2017.

The Green Springs Loop Trail was speckled with dozens of hikers and runners, all pausing to meet the secretary.

The secretary’s visit to Oregon is in accordance with President Trump’s Executive Order to review the status of national monuments.

The hike was led by Christine Beekman, a BLM interpretive ranger for the monument.
