Description

Solenidade em comemoração aos 200 anos da Independência do Brasil.

Há 200 anos, em setembro de 1822, foi proclamada a Independência do Brasil, então colônia de Portugal. Para comemorar o Bicentenário da Independência, o Congresso Nacional realiza hoje (8) sessão solene com chefes de Estado do Brasil, de Portugal e de outras ex-colônias portuguesas, além de ex-presidentes do Brasil, e o lançamento da exposição 200 Anos de Cidadania: O Povo e o Parlamento.

Parlamentares aguardam a chegada das autoridades para abertura da exposição 200 Anos de Cidadania: O Povo e o Parlamento.

Ao desembarcarem as autoridades serão recebidas e conduzidas ao Salão Nobre do Senado Federal pela rampa do Congresso Nacional.

Em destaque, ex-presidente do Brasil, José Sarney.
