Converted to SVG.svg
This physics image could be recreated using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}. It is recommended to name the SVG file "Sonoluminescence.svg" - then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

Sonoluminescence is the emission of light by bubbles in a liquid excited by sound.

Four steps are presented :

1. apparition of bubble 2. quick expansion 3. sudden contraction (very short compared to expansion) 4. light produced by the high pressure and high temperatures inside the small bubble

Drawn with Inkscape 0.42 and Gimp by Dake.
