Hy moet veel brijs hebben / die elck den mont zal ftoppen

Text Appearing After Image:
De Man die de pap biedt, fpreeckt.
Wat heb ick menigh vier gestoockt!
Wat heb ick dickmael pap gekoockt!
Wat heb ick menigh mont gestopt,
Ja, tot de tanden vol gepropt!
En noch soo is'et evenveel,
Schier yder heeft een open keel,
Schier yder houdt een hollen mont,
Dat is een diepte sonder gront;
Want t'wijl ick hier den lepel bie,
So is 't dat ick daer iemant sie,
Die gaept van nieus 'k en weet niet hoe,
En splijt tot aen sijn ooren toe:
En stracks al weder metter daet,
Soo vind' ick noch een nieuwen vraet,
Die vint sich eeuwigh nevens my,
En schoon hy krijght geduerigh bry,
Noch grolt hy efter tusschen bey
Gelijck een kater in de Mey.
