Summary[edit]

Description
English: Parish church of St John (St Jan) in Hoksem, Belgium. Jan van Hoksem was born in 1278. He became canon of the St Lambert Cathedral in Liège. Toward th end of his life he founded a convent for 10 canons in Hoksem. The romanesque St-Jans church was enlarged a couple of times. The tower not only has a cock as windvane, but also a hen, which malkes it very unique.
Nederlands: Parochiekerk Sint-Jan, Hoksem.

Lemaire in 1967-1968.
