In the climate of violence across the country, domestic abuse is an additional threat for women and children in particular. This local drama group in Kaga Bandoro - supported by The IRC - is helping to highlight the dangers as well as how to approach and deal with conflict within the home.

The UK will fund protection services for the vulnerable in Central African Republic as the crisis worsens - particularly women and children.

Britain is also providing emergency healthcare, clean water, food and logistical support to hundreds of thousands of people across CAR in response to the severe escalation in the humanitarian crisis. For full details of how the UK is helping, please see:
