| Description |
English: The gray Lamés ellipsoid consists of the end points of all possible traction-vectors in a spatial stress state with principal stresses σ1, σ2 and σ3 of same sign. The gradient of the stress-director surface (blue) is the normal to the plane on which the traction-vectors act. |
