Summary[edit]

Description
English: Rock cut sculpture inside the Modhera Sun Temple, India. The sculpture depicts Bhima, the pandava prince killed an elephant named Ashwatthama, in the war of Mahabharata. This Sun Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the solar deity Surya. It was built after 1026-27 CE during the reign of Bhima I of the Chaulukya dynasty. It is situated on the bank of the river Pushpavati.
