English: Sundridge Village Sign On a small green at the junction of the A25 Main Road (in front) and the B2211 Chevening Road (on the right). Has 2 plaques of the post, the top one (circular) reads 'Issued to celebrate Nine Hundred Years of Norman Heritage. This community is recorded in the Doomesday Book 1086. DOOMESDAY 1086 - 1986,
Authorised by the National Doomesday Committee.' The lower plaque reads'Village Sign April 1984, Presented by H.S.M. (Peter) Hall Esq (Member of Sundridge Parish Council) (1967-1983) Painted by G.A.Towers Esq, Constructed by S.F.King Esq, Erected by G.E.Rutter Esq.' |
