Summary[edit]
DescriptionSwingTossOnMoon.gif |
English: Real-time animation of a 40 [mph] 31 [oz] "Moon baseball" pitch going between the pitcher's mound to home plate in a baseball field on the Moon, with the same kinetic energy as a 100[mph] standard-baseball pitch on Earth. The ball at each end-point is being caught and then thrown by a 10 [kg] "pitching-machine" mounted on a swing to give observers a sense of the ball momentum, as well as the reaction time available to the batter. |
