Summary[edit]

Description
English: Terri L. Bailey at BLIXEL + Black Lunch Table's Gainesville Photo Booth, 2022. Photo by Kenya (Robinson). Terri L Bailey is from Gainesville, FL. She holds a MA in English and Creative Writing and Women's Studies. Terri lists her proudest writer achievements as 1) the inclusion of her COVID poem, Normally, in the national anthology, 2020: The Year that Changed America, 2) being first runner-up for Alachua County's first Poet Laureate, 3) winning Bethune Cookman University's 2009 writing competition with The Journey - an urban retelling of Dante's Inferno. She often incorporates her personal triumphs and her beloved African spirituality into her writing. Bailey sponsors annual poetry events and Writing to Heal and art instruction workshops. She is a YaYa (Priest) and Life Coach who encourages women to value their narratives and Black artists to share their work starting from the beginning of their artist's journey. She also crusades to ensure that artists are paid fairly and calls for the end of exposure instead of pay tradition.

Public domain
This work has been released into the public domain by the author on Flickr, where the author has declared it as a "Public Domain Work" and tagged it with the Creative Commons Public Domain Mark.
Public domain
The Public Domain Mark (PDM) is not a copyright license, but a symbol used to indicate that a work is in the public domain. When it is applied by the author or the copyright holder, community consensus has decided such works as being public domain in the US and countries where it is legally possible to release own work to the public domain. In the countries where this is not possible, the copyright status of the work remains undetermined.
If a file is tagged with Public Domain Mark by someone other than the author or the copyright holder, a more specific copyright tag such as one found at Commons:Copyright tags/General public domain must be applied. If this is your own work, please use {{Cc-zero}} instead.
