Description
English: Creator: Unidentified

Location: Burketown, Queensland
Description: Owned by Synnott, Murray & Scholes and leased by Mr. Albert Wright, the fire began in the rear of the building among camping gear, fanned by a strong breeze and only a few articles could be salvaged.
Efforts by the fire brigade to save the Commercial were hampered by a water shortage. Nearly all personal affects of Mr. Wright and other occupants were lost, and the building was uninsured.
