Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Dutch Houses, Park Road, Tring. An attractive row of terraces named after their Dutch-style gable-ends. One of the tenants informed me that they were erected by the Rothschild family - whose mansion 1608831 is a short distance away - to house members of their staff. The timbered building just visible on the right is one of the almshouses 1478865 also erected by the Rothschilds at the end of the 19th century to house retired estate workers. They were designed by the architect William Huckvale (1848-1936). Other pictures of Park Road . . . .
