Summary[edit]
DescriptionThe Gospel Hall, Buckland Wharf - geograph.org.uk - 1260895.jpg |
English: The Gospel Hall, Buckland Wharf. I don't know when this ceased to be a chapel - but I remember there were religious signs outside some 40 years ago - and service times were still published in a guide published in 2002. It was associated with the Christian Brethren (Plymouth Brethren Plymouth_Brethren ).
The Hall was built in 1931 when a small group of Christians moved up from Aston Clinton. It was first called "The Meeting Room". Meetings here ceased in 2003. The parish of Buckland is long and narrow and this chapel is only feet from the boundary with Aston Clinton parish. For another view before demolition see 1260882. Views after demolition: 1427088 and 1427140. |
