gion ofthe bregma can be seen the varix in the superior sagittal sinus. This varixis 2 cm. in diameter and extends outward through the dura and internal table,to the external table, where it has caused irregular erosion of bone. It willbe seen that the sinus opens directly into this, and the varix is lined through-out with the ordinary endothelial coat. When the dura is removed the pri-mary erosion, 2.4 cm. in diameter, is found extending through the internaltable into the diploe. At the anterior and posterior edges are seen diverticuliwhich lead off into the diploic space. Through this opening can be seen theirregularly eroded outer table. The spaces for the meningeal vessels aredeeply grooved, and on the left there is a minute erosion through the innertable. In the frontal region, especially on the left side, there are irregularexostoses. There is slight erosion in the region of the internal occipital pro-tuberance.
