Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Loe Pool Viewed from the sand bar on a windy day with white streaks down the length of the lake. The Loe is Cornwall's largest natural lake. The Loe Bar is thought to have formed during the thirteenth century, cutting off Helston's access to the sea via the Cober estuary and effectively putting an end to Helston as a port. Many believe that Tennyson, when he penned his Morte d' Arthur, had the Loe Pool in mind as the place where Sir Bedivere cast away Excalibur, the sword of the dying King Arthur. http://cornwallfishing.com/loebar.aspx
