Partition of the former contiguous USA in ''The Man in the High Castle''. The borders of the four parts are not as exactly described in the novel as in this illustration, which is in great part speculative.
This map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with
{{vector version available|new image name}}.
It is recommended to name the SVG file “The Man in the High Castle novel map of former USA.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |
| This map, as well as other fictitious maps, is fictitious or too incorrect (i.e. due to anachronism) to be used in real-life contexts (contemporary or historic). It may have some visual elements that are similar to official maps such as colors or certain layout features, but they are NOT official and don't have any official recognition. |
Summary[edit]
| DescriptionThe Man in the High Castle novel map of former USA.png |
English: "The Man in the High Castle" is an alternate history novel by Philip K. Dick. It is set in a world in which the Axis powers have won World War II. This map is inspired by Dick's story and shows a plausible division of the former (in the novel) United States, without Alaska and Hawaii, in the four states described in the novel. However, some of the borders drawn in it are speculative and not backed by anything in the book.

This new map is completely different from the former version, with no satisfactory explanation provided; in particular, the novel contains no information on the status of Alaska | |
