English: The Royal Border Bridge This famous railway bridge in Berwick upon Tweed is not actually on the border as its name suggests, as the Scottish border is about 3 miles north of here. It was built by Robert Stephenson and opened by Queen Victoria in 1850, thus completing the line of railway linking London and Edinburgh. |
