English: The ice floes, looking forward from the port bow of 'Endurance' (1912)

A view of the huge consolidated ice pack blocking the progress of Endurance' (1912), a wooden auxiliary Discovery barquentine. The photograph was taken from the port side foremast rigging looking forward. The bowsprit with the furled jib sails can be seen on the right.
