Summary[edit]

Description
English: Observation room of the 150-Foot Solar Tower on Mt. Wilson. An image of the sun can be seen in the bottom center area of the photograph on the white board. There is an aperture below the white board that allows a small section of the image to be projected on to a diffraction grating for spectroscopic measurements.

The photograph was taken on a guided tour of the Mt. Wilson observatory area.
