| Description |
English: Track towards Oldgate Moss, Marsden This looks as if it has been used by a vehicle long ago, still having twin tracks. It runs further north than the path to Short Grain House shown on mid-20C maps, probably along the 12 northing grid line. It would be interesting to follow it to see if it goes right up to the Pennine ridge at Oldgate Moss, but a few hundred metres beyond this point I cut across to the left to try to reach Short Grain House. This was too soon, and I reached a point near to confluence of Wicking Clough and Oakner Clough. I had to loop round to the west to reach the ruin of the house. |
