Description
Nederlands: Zelfgemaakte opname. HTM tramlijn 6 rijdt op de Fluwelen Burgwal in Den Haag de Herengracht op. Het is begin jaren 1970; later werd de tram hier opgeheven en vervangen door een kortere route naar het Haagse Bezuidenhout via het nieuwe Den Haag Centraal Station. Het gebouw met de hoge strenge gevel was de Staatsdrukkerlj. Dit gebouw dateert uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw. Erachter lagen enorme loodsen en drukkerijen. Bij het reclamebord van Dreese (links) werden de enorme papieren rollen afgeeleverd waarvoor al het verkeer in de straat moest worden vastgezet. Het gebouwtje boven het Dafje is jarenlang de Orde der Vrijmetselarij geweest De straat loopt met een bocht naar rechts en gaat over in de Kalvermarkt. Het gebouw op de achtergrond is het Militair Hospitaal dat werd afgebroken voor de bouw van het Haagse tramviaduct.
