Summary[edit]

Description WASHINGTON - During the week of April 2, 2016, the U.S. Secret Service coordinated and successfully implemented the security for the 2016 Nuclear Security Summit in Washington, attended by 32 Heads of State or Government. This very same week, the Secret Service provided the security for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, which, this year, involved the screening and processing of over 34,000 guests through 20 magnetometers prior to entry on to the South Lawn. The successful, skillful and flawless execution of these enormous security operations by the Secret Service is truly remarkable – particularly with the added demands of the ongoing presidential season. Yet, this is business as usual for the Secret Service, without any hint of fanfare or self-promotion. Official USSS photo.
