Description
English: At sea aboard USS George Washington (CVN 73) Jan. 31, 2003 -- A T-45A “Goshawk” makes a final approach with tail hook down during an arrested landing on the ship’s flight deck. The T-45A aircraft, the Navy version of the British Aerospace Hawk aircraft, is used for intermediate and advanced portions of the Navy pilot training program for jet carrier aviation and tactical strike missions. The Norfolk, Va.-based aircraft carrier is conducting carrier qualifications and training off the Atlantic coast. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate Airman Konstandinos Goumenidis. (RELEASED)
