English: The Naturschutzbund Deutschland (NABU) has calculated that a cruise ship produces more sulfur dioxide per day than 300 million cars and that the particulate matter pollution corresponds to around one million cars. The carbon dioxide balance is also bad.

Der gesprochene Text ist: "Der Naturschutzbund NABU hat errechnet, dass ein Kreuzfahrtschiff täglich so viel Schwefeldioxid wie mehr als 300 Millionen Autos produziert. Das entspricht einer Feinstaubbelastung von etwa einer Million Autos. Zudem verursacht ein Kreuzfahrtschiff pro Tag so viel Kohlendioxid wie mehr als 80.000 Autos. Besonders problematisch ist, dass es in vielen Häfen keinen Landstromanschluss gibt. Die Motoren müssen Tag und Nacht laufen und erzeugen rund um die Uhr Schadstoffe." |
