Description
English: Deborah Malac, left, the U.S. ambassador to Liberia, and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the president of Liberia, walk out to meet a crowd of reporters Nov. 5, 2014, after taking a tour of the nearly finished Monrovia Medical Unit, Harbel, Liberia. Earlier, Malac and Sirleaf spoke at an opening ceremony for the 25-bed MMU, an Ebola treatment unit specifically built to care for medical workers who become infected while treating Ebola patients is scheduled to open Nov. 8, 2014. United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in West African nations.
